Introduction
- The word Comforter literally means Helper – Jhn. 14:16-18/26/ Jhn. 16:7-11/12-14
- The Holy Spirit comes along with diverse gifts and manifestations to help us fulfil our glorious destiny – Rom. 8:29-30/ 1 Cor. 12:4-7
- According to scriptures, every believer has a golden destiny in Christ, but it takes the help of the Holy Spirit to actualize it – Zch. 4:1-6/ 2 Pet. 1:3
- This is why we are helplessly without the Holy Spirit – 24:49/ Luk. 10:19/ Rom. 8:11

Week 1 (4th October 2023) – Engaging the Help of The Holy Spirit – Zch. 4:6 (Part 1)
The Spirit of Obedience
- The Spirit of obedience engraces believers for obedience to God and His word without looking back – Ezk. 36:27/ Eph. 2:2
- Every act of obedience is passing a test which qualifies us for a change of level – Gen. 22:1-3/16-18/ Jhn. 9:1-8
- Every act of obedience opens a new chapter to the believer – Gen. 26:1-5/ Psa. 105:19-24
- God will always manifest himself to the obedient – Jhn. 14:21/ 2 Kgs. 5:1/9-10/14
- Obedience of faith engages divine presence, which establishes the believer’s dominion
– Exo. 14:14-15/ Psa. 114:1-9/ Jhn. 8:29 - Every breakthrough testimony is stirred by obedience – Gen. 26:1-14/ Luk. 5:1-7
Why do we need the Spirit of Obedience?
- Some instructions may be far above our natural capacity to handle – Gen. 12:1-3
- Others may be too ‘devastating’ to comply with– Gen. 17:10-14/23-26
- Some may be too costly to ‘engage with’ – Gen. 22:1-3/4-18 (16)
- As often said here, obedience may be costly, but the end result is priceless – Gen. 22:1-5/16-18
Week 1(5th October 2023) – Engaging the Help of The Holy Spirit – Zch. 4:6 (Part 2)
The Spirit of Prayer and Supplication – Zech. 10:12
- The Spirit of prayer connotes engracement for effectual fervent prayer
- The Holy Spirit delivers us from prayer-infirmities and weakness – Mat. 26:41/ Rom. 8:26
- The Spirit of prayer empowers us to pray according to the will of God – Rom. 8:27/ 1 Jn 5:14-15
- Praying in the Holy Ghost strengthens our faith for supernatural victory – Jud 20/ 1 Cor.14:14-15/ 4:13
- Praying in the Holy Ghost connects us to the word in season, which illuminates our spirit man for conquest – Jud 20/ 1Cor. 14:14-15/ 2 Cor. 12:7
- We command breakthroughs through effectual fervent prayer – 2 Kgs 19:14-20/35-37/ Isa. 38:1-5
- We receive direction for victory in battles through prayer of enquiries – Jer. 33:3/ 1 Sam.30:6-8/
17-19/ 2 Sam. 5:18-25 - Moreover, we are empowered to be more than conqueror in battle through prayer and fasting

Week 1 (6th Oct. 2023) – Engaging the Help of The Holy Spirit – Zch. 4:6 (Part 3)
The Spirit of Dedication – Jn 10:17-18
- The Spirit of dedication connotes engracement for unreserved dedication to God and the interest of His kingdom – Mat. 6:33/ Act. 26:22
- One cannot sustain his dedication to Christ without being engraced by the Spirit of dedication – Jhn. 10:17-18/ Heb. 12:1-2
- Our dedication to Christ and the interest of His kingdom cannot be fruitful without the empowerment of the Holy Ghost – Jn 15:1-5/Jn 16:7-11/ Act. 1:8
- The Holy Ghost empowers us to command the supernatural, thereby turning many to Christ – Jn 4:48/ Act. 8:5-8/ Act. 9:33-35
- The Holy Ghost fires up the passion for souls in our hearts – Jn 21:15-17/ Act. 2:14-41/ Rom 5:5
- The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of wisdom that empowers our effectiveness in reaping the harvest, leading to the rise of star in our midst – Pro. 11:30/ Dan. 12:3
Week 2 (11th Oct. 2023) – Engaging the Help of The Holy Spirit – Zch. 4:6 (Part 4)
The Spirit of Might – Isa. 11:1/ Eph. 3:16
- The Spirit of might connotes engracement for supernatural strength both in service to God and running the affairs of our lives
- We are in the last days and God is raising an endtime army of men and women with unusual strength to command extraordinary feats – Joel 2:2-7
- The endtime army is ordained to rule in the midst of her enemy and to reign over the nations of the earth – Psa. 110:1-3/ Dan. 7:27/ Dan. 11:32
- But The latter-day Church cannot reign without the required strength – Psa. 66:7/ Psa. 110:1-3
- The Bible recognizes the Spirit of might as one of the seven Spirits that was upon Christ – Isa. 11:1-2/ Jhn. 4:32/34
- The Spirit of Might caused Elijah to outrun Ahab – 1 Kgs. 18:46
- David could pursue a lion and a bear and slew them – 1 Sam. 17:34-36/ Psa. 18:29-45
- Gideon By the Spirit of might, blew the trumpet and all of Judah gathered – Judg. 6:14/34-35
- Paul was a man of usual strength – 1 Cor. 15:10/ Col. 1:29/ 2 Cor. 11:23/ Phi. 2:25
- But it takes a panting of the soul and a longing of the flesh to be endued with the Spirit of might, as with every other gift of the Spirit that we desire – Psa. 63:1-3/ Isa. 41:17-21
Week 3 (18th Oct. 2023) – Engaging the Help of The Holy Spirit – Zch. 4:6 (Part 5)
The Spirit of Steadfastness
- The Spirit of steadfastness connotes engracement for steadfastness in stewardship – Act. 4:33
- In this end time, there shall be diverse temptations to give up in serving the Lord – Luk. 22:28-30
- But we must recognize that nothing secures a future like fruitful stewardship in the vineyard – Luk. 10:7/ Luk. 19:17-19/ 2 Tim. 2:3-6/ Jms. 5:4
- As we all know, when one is no longer in service, his name gets off the payroll of his organization and all fringe benefits attached to his office withdrawn – Jhn 4:35-36/ Luk.10:7
- We need the Spirit of continuity in stewardship to keep going in season and out of season – 2 Tim. 4:1-4
- We need the Spirit of steadfastness in stewardship to occupy till He comes – Luk. 19:12-19/ Gal. 6:9/ Mat. 24:45-47
- Furthermore, we must endeavour to be consistent in our stewardship, because past tense dedication holds no value to God – Ezk. 18:24-27
- Uzzah was on course with for 53 years, but pride got hold of him and he ended his life as a leper – 2 Cho. 26:3-16/17-20
- King Asa led a massive revival, but missed his steps after 20 years, became an oppressor and died of a plague – 2 Chr. 15:7-10/19/ 2 Chr. 16:1-9
- But Abraham was consistent in serving God for 100 years – Gen. 12:4/ Gen. 25:7-8/ Gen. 22:16-18/ 6:11
- The Spirit of steadfastness empowers our steadfastness in stewardship against all odds
– Isa. 42:1-4/ Luk. 22:28-30
Week 4 (24th Oct. 2023) – Engaging the Help of The Holy Spirit – Zch. 4:6 (Part 6)
The Spirit of Joy – Psa. 45:6-7
- The Spirit of joy connotes engracement for joy unspeakable, full of glory 1 Pet. 1:7-9
- The Holy Spirit is the fountain of joy and oil of gladness – 61:3/ Psa. 45:6-7
- It is impossible to rejoice always without the Spirit of joy at work – Phil. 4:4/ 1 Thess. 5:16
- We live in a world today that is under the siege of the sorrows of heart – Mak. 13:7-8/22-23
- Situations shall get worse for the world, but the joy of the Lord will get the redeemed going – Joe. 2:1-2/ Act. 16:25-30
- We need the Spirit of Joy to keep going in season and out of season – Hab. 3:17-19
- The joy of the Lord builds strength into our inner man – Neh. 8:10/ 1 Sam. 30:6/ Act 27:22/25/35-36
- The Spirit of joy delivers from murmuring, which only complicates matters – 1 Cor. 10:10/Exo. 16:7-8
- The joy of the Lord is required to carry divine presence, which makes believers more than conquerors – Psa. 16:11/ Psa. 114:1-7
- The Spirit of joy provides access to deeper realms of revelation – 12:3/ Eph. 1:15-18/ Eph. 3:1-5
